New's Paper

Ten year old interviewing an inspiration.  Just unbelievable.
About  a month ago I  joined the school news paper. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to write an article about; I new I wanted it to be something that fascinated me so whats' better than interviewing a fashion designer...!  My teacher for news paper emailed my favorite designer, I waited and waited and waited; no reply. She emailed about four or five designers I suggested hoping for the best. Finally at 11:34 PM on February 15, 2012. I got a reply!!! I was so happy! This is what she said...

" Absolutely, I love to encourage young, aspiring talent.  Please tell her to feel free to send questions to this email address and let me know if there's a deadline she has to meet. Looking forward to it and think it's wonderful that you are so dedicated and thought to reach out to me."
 I got  so exited!
I am so honored that to have the opportunity to interview an inspirational fashion designer that is an idol to me.

Dance! I am SO fortunate...

I could go on and on about dance. (It’s my life!) But really. What do I love about it? That question is awaiting its answer. ( I obviously love it, I have been doing it since I was two!) One thing I do know is that I am fortunate to have a safe environment with friends and teachers that share the same love that I do for dance.

You know the feeling you get maybe when you’re scared or when you are amazed? Like the chill’s. I frequently get this emotion from a simple thank you letter in the corner of a room at my dance studio. The letter explains one of the dancers life at my school and how the company helped her get back on track. By back on track I mean her one and only parent and family member got killed. ( She got adopted shortly after.) During those hard times of  hers she was not only being taught the amazing world of dance, but also being supported and helped by both kids and adults. I am just so thankful for having friends, adults and even teachers that care and support me when I need help.

The following is a link to the website of my dance school.

Is ten too young to start looking for an apartment?

A dream job is to be a fashion designer; New York city is the place where it all starts…
Although I have only been once - I know N.Y.C  is where I am supposed to be. I went to New Jersey with my best friend Kenzie, while I was down there Kenzie, her dad, brother and myself took a trip  to New York city. We saw the Empire state building, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, M&M world, the  Hershey’s store, went for lunch and a lot more! It stared raining later on but it was alright, it wasn’t that bad.

I would really like to go see a show in Broadway but I have my whole life in front of me and who knows may be if (when) I live there I could go.

Like I said I would love to be a fashion designer. I love to sew ( by hand and machine), I think I  dress decently, and I live off of project runway! This Christmas I got my own sewing machine! I am so happy.:) I currently plan on making a dress out of  my clothing that is to small for me now. I admit I haven’t really gotten that far, but for my defence I haven’t had much time between school, homework and dance. (Which is a whole different blog post.) I was probably 5 the first time I drew an outfit on paper, There arn’t numbers to count how many scetches I have created up to this day.
Seriously, is ten too young to start looking for an apartment?
